The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Tribal-Focused Exposure Risk and Sustainability Tool (Tribal-FERST) is an interactive online tool designed to provide communities with information and a process to assist in understanding and evaluating their environmental health concerns. Tribal-FERST is intended to serve the needs of a broad range of users including the general public, environmental professionals, state and local risk assessors, and EPA community involvement coordinators and EJ coordinators working on local-scale issues. Community groups or members of the public and these professionals may benefit from working together to identify and evaluate issues and to interpret the data and results in Tribal-FERST.
Tribal-FERST is intended to provide a screening-level assessment to guide priority setting, additional testing, or information gathering. Tribal-FERST data should not be used as the sole basis to characterize risk, make decisions regarding public health, or determine regulatory compliance. Data available through Tribal-FERST are generally limited to those which are nationally available. The data and information provided on this website are made available by EPA as a public service.
